Family Baby Shower

A big kudos out to my wonderful family on BOTH sides for throwing me a superb baby shower. Jen did such a beautiful job with the decorations and everyone's food was fabulous, fabulous! Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts and thank you so much for being there. I can't wait to "share" all these gifts with little Baby Madsen when he comes.

Nesting...and only 42 more days until Christmas

I've been super antsy lately to put up all our Christmas decorations. I've heard it has a little to do with the fact that I'm super "nesting" right now. I don't know, but either way, I just can't wait for my little apartment to be full of the festive cheer of Christmas. I'm literally ready to buy like an entire store full of Christmas things...but then I look at my tiny living space and reality clicks in that there just wouldn't be any room to even put up all the stuff. We just have a little container full of things to put up...and sadder still, we only have a little 3.5 foot tree too. The good thing about the tree though is that we completely fill it up with mine and Jack's ornaments from our childhood. :o) Jack is really being firm on us not having anything Christmas-y up though until after Thanksgiving. I just don't know if I'll be able to wait that long! :o( I know it's still only a week away, but I'm ready to decorate NOW! Doesn't he know that Canadian Thanksgiving is already over? ;o)

Happy Halloween!

I absolutely LOVE Halloween! I LOOOOVE dressing up and I loooooove that it's the first "holiday" in the fall. Oh, and I love the candy too, eh? :o)
I was trying to think of a perfect costume this year that would really accent the tummy and I was totally stumped. It took up until the night before for me to find something that would work, and I was super lucky that I just happened to have a fabulous friend lend me the perfect costume. Well, what do you think? Did this costume accent my tummy or what? :o)
It got some great laughs at the office. Funny thing was when we took a shot right on, you really can't see the "bump." Interesting how that is. Even though I'm feeling huge, I can't believe that straight on shots only see me as a little wider. Well, I hope all of you had a fabulous Halloween too!

P.S. There are no pictures of both me and Jack in costume because I didn't have enough reason to force Jack to dress up this year. ;o) We had no ward party...well, any Halloween party at that really...to attend, so I just ended up dressing up for work and Jack was a BYU student for the day...like usual. :o) Kind of sad that I didn't get more use out of this costume...
